We focus on developing our business in those territories which provide the most mutually beneficial opportunities for ourselves and our partners.
Our main market is the European Economic Area (EEA) where we can trade in all countries under Freedom Of Services and also under Freedom Of Establishment in Italy and Sweden in most classes of general insurance business.
We have a branch in Australia which allows us to write business as a locally admitted insurer. Our Canadian branch commenced trading in 2011 and is licenced to write the classes of Accident & Sickness, Boiler & Machinery, Fidelity, Liability and Property.
We can trade on an excess and surplus lines basis in US mainland states and other affiliated US territories. We have a licence for writing reinsurance in the Philippines and in various countries in Latin America on a non-admitted basis.
Our intention is to expand into other territories. Where there is a valid business case we will seek to obtain the relevant licenses in order to accommodate new opportunities.
