Strategy

We are an integral part of Hannover Re's long term diversification strategy and operate independently but in close co-operation with our parent. Our partners' relationship is with Inter Hannover and they can rely on our commitment and goodwill.

Core strategy

One of our principal objectives is to enable Hannover Re Group to act in its chosen insurance markets with an effective and cost efficient infrastructure. We endeavour to operate with no redundant links in the process chain. Everyone who forms part of the chain adds value rather than expense. We will only develop relationships with partners who meet the necessary profile and, to avoid competition and cannibalisation within individual country markets, we will focus only on discrete and profitable market segments.

Scope

We concentrate on niche business and specialty business segments for which Inter Hannover has specific expertise and is licensed. Niche business is defined as non - standard business relating to small customer groups with special needs as regards type and cover.
