Richard WinterCompany Actuary Richard is a graduate in Mathematics, and became a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 1990. He joined Inter Hannover as Company Actuary in June 2006. Prior to this he worked for Prudential for 16 years in a variety of roles culminating in being appointed the General Insurance Actuary, and then for the next 4 years he was a Senior Manager within the General Insurance Actuarial team of KPMG, working with a range of companies within the insurance market on internal and external audit assignments, giving advice on reserving and capital modelling, signing opinions on reserve adequacy for Lloyds and the Irish Financial Services Regulatory Authority, and due diligence work relating to mergers and acquistion. Richard has also served on a number of committees and working parties for the Institute of Actuaries, and is currently a member of the General Insurance Reserving Oversight Committee, with specific responsibility for research into the effectiveness of reserving methods. |
